The
certified pilot and immediate younger brother to the Vice President,
Capt. Yusuf Sabo Sambo, was on his way to the airport to catch a flight
when the accident occurred.
According to eyewitness, the tire of his BMW
X6 sedan punctured probably due to over-speeding which brought him
staggering into the bush were he collided with a tree and burst into
flames.
Before his death, a closed friend to the
family said during the burial rites that he simply to the family, “I am
going, may Allah protect you.”
