The Keri Hilson Beyonce beef rumor has been something singer Keri Hilson hasn’t been able to escape. Keri caused the BeyHive to go off over the lyrics she sang on her “Turnin’ Me On” remix as people thought she was coming for Beyonce and firing some shots at Ciara too. And although Keri claims she has no beef with Beyonce or Ciara whatsoever, Bey and CiCi’s fans have made it a point to make Keri’s life a living nightmare on social media networks. And it even got the point where Keri had to speak out on the treatment she was receiving. Keri has repeatedly denied ever dissing Beyonce and she is now officially extending an apology to the superstar singer in a new song she did with Timbaland.
In an interview, Timbaland speaks on his squashed beef with Jay-Z and he also says he made a song about it titled “Sorry” featuring Keri Hilson, which will appear on his upcoming album “Shock Value 3.” Tim says in the song, Keri sings about Beyonce and apologizes to her, although she explains in the song the ‘Turnin’ Me On” remix wasn’t about Beyonce like many people thought it was.
On his fallout with Jay-Z and how they made up:
“I’ll tell you the story man. Let me tell you something about real friends. You fall out and then you make back up. Me and Jay fell out. I missed his 40th [birthday]. He didn’t miss mine. He did send me a gift. But I missed his and it was over petty stuff. And it was more personal stuff, disagreements. It was not industry related. It was more personal. And I was wrong.
“When I was working with Justin [Timberlake], he [Jay-Z] sent me a text ‘We need to talk. You know, we need to hook back up.’ I flew down to Brooklyn where he had shows…And we looked at each other and we just gave each other a hug. And he was like ‘What you been doing man?’ I said ‘Man, I’m right. I’m back.’”
On his song with Keri Hilson and her apology to Beyonce:
“And I got this one song that I did with Keri on my album called “Sorry.” And Keri actually tells the story about the whole Beyonce thing and how she was sorry about it because she really wasn’t talking about Beyonce but other people…it says it in the song. “
